An ophthalmologist performs comprehensive eye examinations, prescribes and fits corrective lenses, provides diagnosis for disorders and diseases of the eye and carries out the medical and surgical procedures necessary for their treatment, including fluorescein angiography, laser surgery, and all phases of eye care.
